What We Do

What the f*ck is embodiment? 

Embodiment has two similar meanings that are interconnected in what we do in The VentralVerse.

In terms of wellness and mental health, embodiment is the ongoing practice and experience of being in your body and the practice of being aware of your body in the present moment. It's learning to inhabit your body and connect with your physical sensations and feelings. Embodiment is being fully present in the here and now, instead of living in the past or being anxious about the future. This type of embodiment may not feel safe to those who have experienced trauma or who may be living with chronic pain.​

VentralVerse Media's healing practices and experiences invite you to be in your body in a safe, loving, and accepting way. It is a way to meet yourself and open up to your own inner wisdom, creativity, and joy.

The other meaning of embodiment is taking on the thoughts, feelings, habits, behaviors, and proclivities of our ideal self or desired state. We embody the "spirit" of that with which we desire to be aligned. ​

Why do I want to practice embodiment?

Embodiment is a powerful tool for manifesting the life you desire.

Connecting to your body and allowing yourself to feel the energy of the desired outcome in your physical body is where transformation begins. How? This connection creates an energetic vibration that has the potential to attract the desired outcome in your life.​

Embodiment can also assist with understanding what may be blocking you from an intention or manifestation. When you bring your attention to your body, it can help you identify subconscious beliefs or patterns of behavior that are preventing you from achieving your goals.

What you feel you can heal. By increasing your awareness of these patterns and beliefs, you can begin to take steps to create positive change and manifest your desired reality.

What is the nervous system? ​

The nervous system is the body's communication system. It consists of the central nervous system (CNS), which includes the brain and spinal cord; and the peripheral nervous system (PNS), which transmits signals between the CNS and the rest of the body's organs, muscles, and senses.

The PNS consists of the Autonomic Nervous System (ANS) and the Somatic Nervous System (SNS).

ANS controls involuntary functions of the body including heart rate, digestion, and sexual arousal. SNS controls movement and sensory input.​

The primary function of the nervous system is to receive information from the environment, interpret it, and then respond appropriately.

Trauma and chronic pain can disregulate the nervous system in an effort for survival.

Our experiences teach you nervous system regulation tools in a fun and transformative way.

What is nervous system regulation? ​

Nervous system regulation is the way that our body uses signals to control and coordinate different body functions. It helps our brain receive input from the environment and then tells our body how to respond. When our nervous system is regulated we have the flexibility to move through different states of activation in response to stimuli. ​

What is the limbic system? 

The limbic system is a complex set of structures in the brain that are responsible for our emotions, motivations, and memories. It's sometimes referred to as the "emotional brain" because it's the part of us that allows us to experience and respond to our environment. Working with Parts and doing Parts Work can help with limbic system connection and understanding where we are feeling emotions in our body so we can build resilience, heal, and commit to release the burden from our entire system.

What are Parts and what is Parts Work? ​

Parts Work is a therapeutic way in which the individual works with their inner selves or "parts" of their personality, to help them move towards greater integration and wholeness.

Parts Work can be done alone, 1:1, or in groups and can be used to address concerns such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, CPTSD, and self-sabotaging patterns.

Parts are inner aspects of the self that have their own wants, needs, beliefs, and values. Working with Parts can help the individual to become more aware of their internal landscape and can help them to build a better understanding of how their inner parts interact with each other and with the external world.

What is somatic healing?

Somatic healing focuses on the body and mind connection. It helps to bring awareness to physical and emotional sensations, helping to reduce stress and create a sense of balance and well-being.

Practitioners use various techniques such as embodiment, visualization, breath work, and movement to help the individual become more aware of their body and how it responds to stimuli, trauma, and emotions.

Somatic healing can be used to help individuals cope with a variety of concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and chronic pain.

In 2024 we will begin to integrate Psychedelic Somatic Therapy into our programs.

What does any of this have to do with manifesting?

The nervous system and limbic system play an important role in manifesting our intentions and desires.

The nervous system sends messages from the brain to the body and vice versa. The signals sent from the brain to the body can help us identify areas that need our attention in order to heal and move into our desired state of embodiment.

If we understand how to regulate our nervous system, as well as reprogram the limbic system, and connect to our Parts, we can more easily reach goals, achieve desired outcomes, and continue to take the necessary inspired actions to make them happen.

Additionally, by regulating the body's responses to external stressors, the nervous system can reduce internal stress and help us to remain focused on our desired state of being. We build capacity and resilience that allow us to receive and hold our goals and desires as they manifest.

The regulated nervous system is a powerful tool for manifesting our intentions and achieving goals.
